'DECEIVED'

I will never forget as long as I live the feeling I had when I read Mark 13:5-6 "Jesus said, Watch out that no one deceives you. Many will come in My name, claiming, 'I am He' and will deceive many." Shivers actually went down my spine because I knew that everything I had been taught probably was not right. Where people deceiving me? What if they are wrong? This fueled the fire within me to constantly be in the Word, and constantly be pursuing Him.

The tragedy today is that the majority of the people I come into contact with, espouse what they have been taught, and the majority of what they have been taught does not line up with the Word. It is scary to me that when I talk with other teachers and Pastors alot of them believe what they believe because of what they have been taught, and after challenging them with truth, they walk away bewildered.

Assurance of Salvation is knowing without a doubt that our lives are lined up 100% witht he Word of God, and not with what someone has taught us. Assurance of Salvation does not come from what one scripture tells us, but from our obedience to what the Word of God says. What have you been obedient to? What man has said, or what the Word of God has said. Remember this...Jesus Himself said that 'Many' will say that 'He is' but will deceive many. Make sure you are not one of either. Our salvation relies on it~
