Many people have no idea that in Revelation 2-3 Jesus states His dislike, and yes, Hate for the Nicolatians. Sadly enough He does also mention that there are people following there doctrine and ways of life. Jesus also talks about Jezebel and she too has a damning doctrine like the Nicaolatians. I pray that everyone who reads these blogs will take to hearta nd examine each ones lives to see 'If' we line up with the Word, or with the Nicolatians.
Today churches are full of Nicaolatians. They are not only in the church, but on the radio, and televsion. Their teachings have spread like wild fire, and the bride of Christ is being adulterated by their teachings.
The Nicolatians taught that we were saved by Christ's mercy, and that we are no longer under the law. This gave them the freedom and liberty to live immoral and sinful lives. At the detention center last Sunday one young man who quit coming to Bible Studies, but recently returned said this "I left because I wasn't hearing what I wanted to hear, and I knew inside that it was the truth. I praise God that He has brought me back." With that said I have to ask this question "What do we do with the truth when it does not ine up with what we desire to hear?"
Today I know many Pastors, teachers, leaders and church goers that change the Word as the Nicolatioans did. They claim freedom from the law, and live impure, and immoral lives. What is impure and immoral lives? Anything that opposes the truth and lends itself to the world. Here is a good example of what I am talking about..."Brother Pete, I listen to secular music, and see nothing wrong with drinking wine or other drinks even if it is at a bar. I also hear "That movie isn't that bad and you know what..I don't seeing anything wrong if watch it because it has a good story line." How about this one "At least I'm better than I used to be!" Obviously they now that their choices are not godly, and so they decide to justify rather than change. Right now some of you may be shaking your heads in disagreement, but obviously you have been told what is acceptibale to your denomination, or religion. The Bible is clear about the lives we are to lead.
So, what do we want to hear? Let me state for you a fact "The number one drug in the world today that is killing people, destroying lives and families, and causing the most grief, is 'Alcohol.' Today people don't see alcohol as a drug, but it does the exact thing that a drug will do, 'Alter ones mind. We do not want ot hear that because we don't want to give up our idols. While we pray over our food and partake of several glasses of wine think about this "Our kids will do the same, and one day they may have a little too much and kill someone else driving or get killed themselves. As we listened to 'Lonely days and lonely nights' and 'I love rock and roll', let me assure you of this "Your kids will be swayed to the world and away from the cross.
'If' we call people Christians who are not living as the Word says Christians live, then please don't call them Christians. This will give them a false sense of reality and give them no need to change. Instead, call them Nicolations. Then walk them through the Word, and allow the Holy Spirit to have His way, so that the may repent and be saved. I implore each of you to read Revelation 2-3 and ask yourselves this "Am I living bey what Jesus is talking to the church about." I pray that none of us will ever assume the Nicolation practice, and doctrine~
